Letting Go

I loved a girl, who was cute as snow,

The fairy of my dreams, with an angelic glow

Long I loved her, with my heart and soul,

Trying to catch her, trying to her let go

She was my dream, a dream come true,

Engraved in my heart were her silly clues.

I ran and ran, and fell along the way

And again I stood up and saw her mellow gaze.

And all I could do was let her go,

With tears in my eyes, heart's empty cold

And all I could do was see her go

With another in her arms, into a world unknown.

I ran after her as if each breath was my last,

With something to tell, but crumbling apart

I fell and tripped, and woke up again,

And there she was in the chilly rain.

But so was he, looking in her eyes,

As I stood behind, with teary eyes

He kissed on her cheeks, as I saw her blushful smile,

And so I knew that she wasn't mine.

She looked at me, with her mellow eyes,

I gasped for words, as tears rolled down my eyes

There she was, in the chilly rain,

Leaning on his shoulders, with a mellow gaze.
